This summary is here to be readable. The sections below are what actually governs.
[[Parla Games, Inc.]], a Delaware corporation with its registered office at [[registered agent address, Wilmington, DE]] and operations at [[operating address]] ("Parla Games", "we", "us"), is the controller of the personal data described here. That means we decide what is collected and why.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at [[privacy@parlagames.com]].
[[If you offer the games in the EEA or UK, you will likely need an Article 27 representative. Name them here, or delete this paragraph.]]
This policy applies to our mobile games on the Apple App Store and Google Play, this website, and our support email — together, the "Services". We do not publish games on PC or console.
It does not cover Apple, Google, or the advertisers whose ads you see. They handle your information under their own policies, and for some of what they do they are their own controller rather than our processor. Purchases in particular are handled entirely by Apple and Google — see section 3.
You can play without giving us your name, your email, or anything that identifies you directly. In that case everything below is linked to a randomly generated player ID and your device's advertising identifier, not to you by name.
| What | When |
|---|---|
| Email address and sign-in identifier | Only if you choose to create an account with Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only ever see the relay address. |
| Display name | If a game lets you set one. It is shown only to you — we have no chat, friends lists or public leaderboards. |
| What you write to support | When you email us, including whatever you choose to put in that email. |
| Survey and playtest answers | If you take part. Always optional. |
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Device and technical data | Device model, operating system and version, language, country, screen size, memory, carrier, time zone, and IP address. |
| Identifiers | Our randomly generated player ID; Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) on iOS; the Google Advertising ID (GAID) and App Set ID on Android; Apple's and Google's install receipt tokens. |
| Gameplay data | Levels started, completed, failed and replayed; time spent; hints and boosters used; settings; progress and save state; which features you use. |
| Advertising data | Which ads were shown to you, whether you watched or skipped them, whether you tapped, and whether an install followed. |
| Purchase data | That a purchase happened, what it was, when, the amount, and the store's transaction receipt. We never receive your card, bank or PayPal details — Apple and Google process every payment. |
| Diagnostics | Crash reports, stack traces, error logs, frame rates and load times. |
| Approximate location | Country and region, worked out from your IP address. We do not collect GPS or precise location, and our games do not ask for that permission. |
| Inferences | Rough guesses drawn from the above — for example that a player is likely to enjoy a particular kind of level, or is unlikely to spend. |
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, health data, biometric data, government identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or anything else that counts as a special category under the GDPR or sensitive personal information under US state law. Our games have no chat and no user-generated content, so there is nothing of that kind for us to hold.
The "legal basis" column matters if you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland. Elsewhere you can read it as simply the reason.
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Run the game and save your progress | Player ID, gameplay data, device data, account data | Performance of a contract |
| Sync your save across devices | Account data, gameplay data | Performance of a contract |
| Deliver and validate purchases and subscriptions | Purchase data, account data, device data | Performance of a contract; legal obligation (tax records) |
| Fix crashes and keep the game working | Diagnostics, device data | Legitimate interests — a game that works |
| Understand which levels are too hard, too easy or unfinished | Gameplay data, approximate location, device data | Legitimate interests — making better games. Consent where local law requires it |
| Show non-personalised (contextual) ads | Device data, approximate location, gameplay data | Legitimate interests — funding a free game |
| Show personalised ads and measure them | IDFA / GAID, ad interaction data, inferences, approximate location | Consent — via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and our consent banner |
| Market our own games to people who don't have them | IDFA / GAID, aggregate audience data | Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests |
| Prevent cheating, fraud and abuse | Device data, identifiers, purchase data, gameplay data | Legitimate interests — protecting players and the business |
| Answer your emails | Whatever you send us, plus your player ID if you give it | Legitimate interests; performance of a contract |
| Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and defend claims | Purchase data, account data, correspondence | Legal obligation; legitimate interests |
Our games are free, and ads are how most of that gets paid for. There are two kinds:
We only show you personalised ads if you allow it. On iOS that means tapping "Allow" on Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland it also means agreeing through the consent banner we show the first time you play. If you say no, the ads keep coming — there just aren't as well targeted, and we earn less from them.
Resetting your advertising ID makes you look like a brand new person to us and to our partners, and disconnects you from the profile built against the old one.
Global Privacy Control. On our website, we detect and honour the GPC signal as an opt-out of selling and sharing. Several US states require this, and we apply it everywhere rather than only where it is mandatory.
We share your information with the following kinds of company, and only with what each one needs. [[Keep this list accurate — replace the examples with the SDKs you actually ship, and remove any you don't.]]
| Who | Examples | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| App stores | Apple, Google | Purchase and subscription processing, distribution, refunds. They act as their own controller. |
| Analytics and crash reporting | [[e.g. Firebase / Crashlytics / GameAnalytics]] | Player ID, gameplay data, device data, diagnostics. |
| Advertising networks and mediation | [[e.g. AppLovin / Google AdMob / Unity Ads / ironSource]] | IDFA / GAID, IP address, device data, ad interaction data — but only the identifier if you consented. |
| Attribution / measurement | [[e.g. AppsFlyer / Adjust]] | Identifiers, install and campaign data. |
| Cloud hosting and backend | [[e.g. AWS / Google Cloud]] | Whatever the game stores server-side, including your save. |
| Email and support | [[e.g. Google Workspace]] | Your emails to us. |
| Professional advisers | Lawyers, accountants, auditors | Only what a specific matter requires. |
We will also disclose information:
We do not sell your information for money. But US state privacy laws define "sell" and "share" broadly enough to include what happens when an app shows personalised ads.
So, to be straight with you: when you allow personalised ads, we "sell" and "share" your identifiers, device data, approximate location, ad interaction data and inferences with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising, as California and other states define those words.
You can stop it at any time using any of the methods in section 5, or the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in the game's privacy settings. Doing so costs you nothing and changes nothing else about the game.
We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16, and we do not knowingly process sensitive personal information at all.
Our games are for players aged 13 and over. They are rated accordingly, they are not directed to children, and we do not design or market them for children.
Parents and guardians: if you believe your child has given us information, email [[privacy@parlagames.com]] and we will delete it and close any account, without needing you to prove anything beyond enough to identify the account.
You can also turn off purchases entirely at the device level — Screen Time on iOS, or parental controls in the Google Play app.
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Gameplay and save data, no account | Until [[24]] months after you last played, then deleted or anonymised |
| Account and cloud save | While the account is active, and [[24]] months after you last signed in |
| Crash and diagnostic logs | [[90]] days |
| Advertising and consent records | Ad data [[13]] months; proof of your consent choice [[3]] years, because we have to be able to show it |
| Support emails | [[24]] months after the conversation ends |
| Purchase, tax and accounting records | As long as US federal and state tax law requires — generally [[7]] years |
| Anything needed for a live legal claim | Until the matter is finished and the appeal periods have run out |
When you ask us to delete your account we delete or de-identify it promptly. We may keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made and honoured, because privacy law requires us to be able to prove it, and we keep purchase records for the tax period above.
We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored saves, access controls limited to people who need it, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant regulators within the time the law requires.
We are a US company, and our service providers operate in the United States, the European Economic Area and elsewhere. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed there.
For transfers out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with the additional measures those clauses require. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards at [[privacy@parlagames.com]].
Wherever you live, you can:
How. In the game, go to Settings → Privacy, where you can delete your account and your data directly. Or email [[privacy@parlagames.com]]. We reply within 30 days, or 45 where a US state law sets that period, and we can extend once where the law allows and the request is complex — we'll tell you if we do.
Exercising any of this is free and we will never give you a worse experience for it. We may need to verify who you are first, which for an anonymous player usually means the player ID shown in the game's settings screen. If we can't identify you from what you give us, we'll say so rather than guess.
In addition to section 12, you have the right to:
We do not make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects using automated processing alone.
[[If you are required to appoint an EU/UK Article 27 representative, name them here.]]
This section applies if you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law — as of this update: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
| Statutory category | What we collect | Sold or shared? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Player ID, IDFA / GAID, IP address, email if you sign in | Yes, for personalised ads, if you allowed them |
| Commercial information | What you bought and when | No |
| Internet or network activity | Gameplay data, ad interaction data, app usage | Yes, for personalised ads, if you allowed them |
| Geolocation data | Country and region from IP. Never precise | Yes, for personalised ads, if you allowed them |
| Inferences | Guesses about what you like in a game | Yes, for personalised ads, if you allowed them |
| Sensitive personal information | None | N/A |
We collect all of it from you and your device, and from the app stores, analytics, attribution and advertising partners named in section 6. We use it for the business purposes in section 4, and keep it for the periods in section 9. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you the right to limit it, because we do not collect it.
Use Settings → Privacy in the game, or email [[privacy@parlagames.com]]. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission, and we may contact you directly to confirm.
Nevada residents may tell us not to sell certain covered information for money. We don't do that, but you can send the request to [[privacy@parlagames.com]] anyway and we will record it.
Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) you may learn whether we process your data, ask what we do with it and whether it's used consistently, learn who we transfer it to at home and abroad, have inaccurate data corrected, have it erased or destroyed, have those corrections passed on to recipients, object to a result produced purely by automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Send requests to [[privacy@parlagames.com]]. We respond within 30 days. You may also apply to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu).
We'll update this page when our games, our partners or the law change, and move the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you inside the game or by email before it takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again rather than assume it.
Previous versions are available on request.

This is a strong starting draft, not legal advice. Before you publish:
replace every [[ ]] placeholder; make section 6 match the
SDKs you actually ship; make sure the game really does have a
Settings → Privacy screen with account deletion and an ad opt-out,
because this policy promises one and Apple requires it once you offer
accounts; and align all of it with your App Store privacy label and
Google Play Data safety form. Then have a lawyer read it.
